Quick Hitty Goodness

Thank God that football is getting back in town from vacation.  College media days are in full swing, NFL training camps are underway, and Canadian football is all up in your business. So let the blogging begin.

Let's take a look at few of the things that have been able to awaken the football lover in me.

Mike Sherman has been saying all the right things so far.  He has conducted himself as a no nonsense guy.  He wants to bring back the Aggie traditions and Aggie pride that many felt Fran never connected to fully.   He is also putting Stevie Mc and Jerrod Johnson square in a good 'ol fashion QB competition. Am I the only one in the world that thinks that Stevie is on a short leash?   I really had been out on Stevie towards the end of the year, but I have a often up on him just a little bit.  He really does leave it all on the field.  Unfortunately his legacy will more than likely be gusty guy, beat t.u. twice and became the guy that single handily got destroyed by Fran.

I hate Tim Tebow.  Please tell me what is so great about that guy?  He is the ultimate system quarterback.  Any guy that can run and throw 3 yard dump offs could be a quarterback in Urban Meyer's system.  I can't wait for him to go pro and be Alex Smith.

My beloved Cowboys are going to camp Thursday.  Seems like they really never took the summer off.  From Pacman Jones to T.O. saving a dude's life last week, make no doubt about America loves it when the Cowboys have a bunch of unique personalities that can actually play because there is always something to talk about. Wade Phillips didn't want to be left out of the conversation and took a T.O. catch phase even further by telling us to get our ring fingers ready.  I would ask why do people continue say these things?  It is just bad sports karma.  Why get our ring fingers ready?  We already got a banner last year.

By the way, I have officially fired everyone else on staff at The Malt.  I am taking applications for writers so get your ring fingers ready..to type.

Ok a cool new country (yes, unusual for  me) band I discovered.  You should love this song as much as I do.
